So basically, I've been looking into some mysteries about Super Mario 64 DS. I got the Purple Rabbit, Purple Prizes, Peach's Balcony, the Black Box, the Big Star Key, but am I missing anything? Oh yeah, I'll explain the mysteries I named in case some people don't know what I mean.
Purple Rabbit
In the instruction manual, there's an image of a Purple Rabbit in the Rabbit section. This Purple Rabbit is not in the game. Some associate it with Waluigi, or think it's actually Mario's Pink Rabbits.
Purple Prizes
This is just a bundle of the theory of unlocking Waluigi. Purple Prizes is the name of a supposed magazine that explained how to unlock Waluigi, but there are many other ideas.
Peach's Balcony
In the room with the Mario painting, there's a balcony you can't enter. There are naturally some theories about how to get there and what's there.
Black Box
In the title screen of Super Mario 64 DS, there's a Black Box on a castle tower. However, it is not seen in the real game. There is a theory it has a hidden level inside.
Big Star Key
In the files, there is a bigger version of the Rabbit Key. When spawned in, it can unlock the castle doors, though this is likely placeholder. It is possible that it belongs to the Rabbit King mentioned in the Purple Prizes magazine, which would drop the key to unlock Waluigi. You have to wonder what it would have unlocked..
Anything Else?
Do you guys know any other mysteries? I know there's stuff like Red Koopas, but I'm looking for actual mysteries, not random unused enemies. The Big Star Key is there though, even though it's just unused content, it's kinda mysterious and nobody knows what it really would have unlocked.
