Ok, so people have been confused about this conspiracy theory, so I'll go ahead and explain it to the best of my ability. It's a really confusing topic, but I'll go through the main stuff the best I can. There's much more to look into, but I'll tell the gist of it. I suggest you do your own research into this stuff, it's really interesting.
The Personalization A.I.
This is the core of the conspiracy: The Personalization A.I. The idea is that there's an artificial intelligence inside of Super Mario 64 that analyzes the player and changes the smaller details of the game to cater towards the player. You ever know that feeling when you play someone else's copy and it feels...weird? Yeah. Note that the Personalization A.I. only works on the Nintendo 64 copies, not emulators or future versions. It does reportedly appear in MariOS 64, however.
A good example of this is the Whomp's Fortress Tower 1-Up. So, you know that tower on Whomp's Fortress after the Whomp King is defeated? On the bottom of the tower, there's a wall you can punch to find a 1-UP. Note that there is no crack on that wall. However, some people have said there is a crack on the wall. This misremembering is one of the smaller components that lead to the Personalization A.I. theory.
The Wario Apparition
The Wario Apparition is a floating Wario head that can appear in the hall where you find Dire, Dire Docks and Bowser in the Fire Sea. It will chase you down the hall, and the hall will now be seemingly endless. It is believed to appear due to a mix of possible unused remnants of Wario and people's subconscious desires to see Wario in the game. However, talking about the Wario Apparition can cause people to have stroke-like symptoms. (I'm not getting affected by it, but maybe it's only verbal or doesn't kick in immediately)
1995/07/29 Build (DO NOT RESEARCH)
This is a supposed build of Super Mario 64 with an enhanced Personalization A.I., more frequent Wario Apparition manifestations, and/or a glitch that makes textures flash rapidly. This is one of the more confusing points, but you shouldn't research it, because people disappear who do...allegedly.
Super Mario 64 Iceberg
The Super Mario 64 Iceberg is an image of an iceberg divided into layers with several myths, rumors, glitches and obscure trivia about Super Mario 64. It has a lot of stuff I won't cover here, and some of it doesn't really mean anything when you reach the bottom, but it's one of the main origin points of this conspiracy. This is a good place to start when looking into this rabbit hole.
Wet-Dry World
Wet-Dry World is a relevant course in this discussion. Let's start with the negative emotional aura that's really simple: when people play Wet-Dry World, some say that something feels off and they just want to stop playing. (I've experienced it myself.) Now for the more strange things, starting with the brain diagram. There is supposedly a brain diagram in the assets of Wet-Dry World that would have been the painting, and was also used as a base for Wet-Dry World, which leads to the next point: Wet-Dry World is the brain of the Personalization A.I. Listen, I barely understand this, but I'll explain the stuff I understand: The water in the level represents hydrochepalus, some kind of disease where fluid ends up in your brain? I don't know. The next point is that the entrance to the village is similar to a vein, and the village represents the subconscious. Again, I don't really understand this point, but it's still relevant.
Miscellaneous
Here's where I cover several smaller points that are still relevant enough to be brought up.
Full Oman Archives
The Oman Archives are leaked files relating to the creation of Super Mario 64 that allowed for early ROM Hacking to be made. However, there is a theory that there is supposedly a larger form of the Oman Archives that contains information about the Personalization A.I.
Internal Plexus
Princess Peach's Castle's layout is weird. Parts of the castle should stretch out, and rooms should overlap. Also, looking at areas in between the castle walls is very bizarre. This is also the name given to a theory that Princess Peach's Castle is the Personalization A.I.'s veins, but I won't go into that because I know next to nothing about it.
Shared Nightmares
There was an old promotion Super Mario 64 had with Kellogg's that had some strange beta penguin models on it. Looking at these can cause people to have nightmares about them. If you see them in your nightmares, look down at your feet when they approach you. Their talking sounds like horrible screeching. There's also a similar thing with the Mad Piano enemy, but that isn't anomalous since that enemy is terrifying.
Forced Mental Fall
Imagine Mario running. Take a moment. Come back in a minute or so. Do not proceed with this section until you have done this task.
Did you imagine Mario falling? There's a strange anomaly where people cannot imagine Mario running without him falling, either into a pit or through the ground. It is impossible to reverse this effect.
White-Eyed Chain Chomp
The White-Eyed Chain Chomp, shortened to WEC, is the name given to an anomaly where the Chain Chomp in Bob-omb Battlefield does not have pupils. This implies more heavy personalization, such as a fourth floor of Princess Peach's Castle. Some people debate this one's existence, though, as the A.I. tends to be more subtle than that.
Conclusion
Now you should get the basics of the Every Copy of Super Mario 64 is Personalized conspiracy, and some extra points I sprinkled in. I ask you to look into this further, because I did not go into depth on several things. If you do research, start with the Super Mario 64 Iceberg and the MIPS Hole wiki. Do not take this as everything you need to know, there's several things I didn't go over. You should know what some people mean when talking about it now, though.
